A plain description of what the website software does and does not do with information.
1. Summary
This page describes the website as built. It has no accounts, no payments and no forms that send data anywhere. The filters, search, CSV download and correction-draft tool all run in your browser. The only thing the site remembers is that you closed the cookie notice.
2. What this build does not do
- It does not ask you to register or sign in.
- It does not take payments or request payment details.
- It does not submit any form to a server.
- It does not install behavioural analytics, advertising trackers or social-media plug-ins.
- It does not use geolocation or call external search, map or betting services.
3. Tools on your device
Anything you type into the archive filters, the home-page search or the correction-draft tool stays in your browser’s memory until you reload the page or use the reset action. None of it is written to cookies or local storage. If you choose to copy a draft or download a file, that text is then in your clipboard or on your device, and you control it. Please keep personal details out of drafts.
The one item the site does store is a single local-storage entry that records you closed the cookie notice. It holds no personal data, is not sent anywhere and can be removed by clearing your browser’s site data. See the cookies page.
4. Hosting and technical logs
Web hosts commonly record technical data when a page is requested, for example an IP address, the time, the file requested and browser details. Whether that happens, and for how long, depends on the hosting arrangement chosen by whoever publishes the site. The site’s own code neither creates nor reads those logs.
5. External links
Links to sources and to the Gamblers Anonymous — international information resource lead to independently operated websites. They have their own privacy practices, which this website does not control.
6. Operator details
This page does not name a data controller, hosting provider, retention period, lawful basis or channel for rights requests, because none was supplied to the people who built the site. The domain name identifies the website only and is not a legal entity. Whoever publishes the site must state these details wherever the law requires, and this page should be updated when they do.
7. Changes
If a real contact endpoint, analytics or any other tool that handles visitor data is added later, this page and the cookies page must be updated first, and the change should be described here.
